Hi. My 13 year old Grandson and I will be thru hiking the trail N to S this August. We're both intermediate hikers. Can anyone help with info regarding realistic miles per day estimates and any recommendations for camping sites/shelters each nite on the trail? Thank you!

I am planning to through hike in mid June. I have the same questions. It will be my first through hlke. I'll let you know how it goes.
