When heading south on the Midstate, shortly after turning left into the woods off Intervale Rd in Rutland there is a large tree down across the trail.
Not far after that there is also a spot where it is easy to get confused and try to go either left or straight by the river, but the trail turns right and there is no marker in this direction.
