The MST has been re-routed through Princeton. -- see map
The following section has been eliminated: From the junction of Goodnow Road and the “Pasture Trail” (in the Mass. Audubon Wachusett Meadows sanctuary) running south to the corner of Bushy Lane near Route 68 in Rutland. Note: signage has been installed at old trailheads at road crossings directing hikers to new trailheads.
The new route is as follows (hiking southerly): From Goodnow Road in the Mass. Audubon Wachusett Meadows, the trail heads west on Goodnow Road (an abandoned town road -- appx. .8 mile), to Gates Road. Take right onto Gates Road, walk appx. 100 yds. to pull-in at “Town Hayfields” on left, (Trailhead Parking). Trail enters hayfields and follow blazes on posts through field and continues through woods (appx. 1.1 mile) to footbridge over Ware River. Follow blazes (appx. .8 mile) on Old Colony road to junction with Route 62 (Trailhead Parking). Cross Route 62 and continue up Old Colony Road Ext. to gate for Savage Hill (appx. .2 mile) and continue on woods road through Savage Hill (appx. 2.4 mile) to Paddock Road. Turn left on Paddock Road towards Bushy Lane (about 100 yds.) to where original MST picks up and continues south to cross Route 68. New route (hiking northerly): In Rutland, after crossing Route 68 and walking up Bushy Lane (unpaved) take left onto Paddock Road (paved) than follow signs into woods on right.

The trail looks great, took a short walk out and was impressed, well blazed and scenic!
