I can't find directions to get to the NH BORDER START point. Is that because there is no car and parking access? Do you have to walk north from Rt 119, to the marker, then turn around and go back? How far is it from 119 to the border?

You are correct. The closest access point with parking is Rt 119. It's 1.06 miles to the MA-NH border per the Guidebook. You could continue north on the Wapack Trail into New Hampshire also.
